Class struggle can only have one winner… Set in an African slum, an ambitious market girl meets and falls in love with a boy from the other side of town and tries to cross the class divide, but the social gap is over powering and starts a chain of event that neither of them is prepared for.
As Ajoa struggles to cross the class divide and find love, Bruce struggles to find himself, independent of his father, they must brave the turbulent political times, as well as the social obstacles that build. Will they change society or will it change them. Can their friendship and love endure? This is the story of the strength of the human spirit and when there is no place else to go, but up!

- Silver Rain is Written and Directed by Juliet Yaa Asantewa Asante. Juliet holds an MPA from the Harvard Kennedy School and is a graduate of Nafti and the New York Film Academy. She is a regular writer for the Huffington Post and a Mentor on Entrepreneurship at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
